Emergency and Humanitarian Response
The Sidama region, like many others, faces the ever-present threat of natural disasters such as droughts, floods, and landslides. Additionally, unforeseen emergencies like disease outbreaks or conflict can disrupt livelihoods and devastate communities. Recognizing the human cost and long-lasting impact of such events, the Sidama Development Association (SDA) prioritizes Emergency and Humanitarian Response as a key thematic area within its strategic plan. In addition to its development works that reduce disaster and build community resilience the SDA, this thematic area focuses on preparedness, response, and recovery efforts to ensure timely and effective assistance to communities affected by emergencies
