Sidama Development Association Launches Student Feeding Program at Chefe Koti Jabessa Primary School in Tula Sub-City, Hawassa
The Sidama Development Association has initiated a student feeding program at Chefe Koti Jabessa Primary Schoolin Tula Sub-City, Hawassa.
During the launch event, W/ro Weynshet Mengesha, the association’s chief executive officer, delivered a speech highlighting that this school is the fourth to benefit from the program. She noted that the association had previously launched similar feeding programs in three other schools in Tula Sub-City, gaining valuable experience in the process.
Invited guests and community representatives also expressed their appreciation for the association’s efforts, pledging to support the program. They commended the Sidama Development Association for its ongoing commitment to education and expressed hope that the feeding program would expand to more schools where students still lack access to such benefits.
The initiative aims to improve student attendance, concentration, and overall academic performance by providing nutritious meals, ensuring children can focus on their education without the burden of hunger.
This program reflects the association’s broader mission to enhance education and community welfare in the Sidama region.
