Medical equipment and supplies worth 3.5 million Birr have been delivered to health centers to enhance healthcare services.
The Sidama Development Association, in collaboration with a non-governmental organization called JSI, has provided support in the form of medical equipment and supplies worth 3.5 million Birr to five districts where the IPHCSD and SSD projects are being implemented. These districts include Dale, Alata Wendo, Bensa, Wondogenet, and Boricha.
The delivered equipment and supplies include:
– 3 ultrasound machines (for maternal healthcare services),
– 32 tablets, and
– 32 internet Wi-Fi devices.
The ultrasound machines will be used for maternal healthcare services, while the tablets and Wi-Fi devices will help modernize medical services, facilitate digitalization processes, and enable online training and support for healthcare providers.
This initiative aims to strengthen healthcare delivery and improve access to quality medical services in the targeted districts.
