The Sidama Development Association has provided chickens and other necessary inputs to enterprises engaged in poultry farming as part of its project.
The association is widely engaged in community-focused activities, and this project is one of the many initiatives it is implementing to enhance the social and economic capacity of women.
The association has distributed 900 chickens to each of the five enterprises it organized for 50 women in Tula Sub-City and Hawela Lida woreda.
The association has been providing continuous training and preparatory support to the women engaged in layer poultry farming. Overall, inputs worth 5 million Birr have been distributed to the organized enterprises, including 5 poultry sheds, 3,750 chickens, 300 quintals of feed, feeders, drinking equipment, medicine, and other essential materials.
Woinshet Mangesha the CEO SDA stated that the professional follow-up will be conducted, with experts assigned to oversee the process.
